MILKDROMEDA REVIEW

Give us your cosmic sonder.

Milkdromeda Review is a quarterly online literary magazine that publishes poetry, flash fiction, visual art, and photography in dual-themed issues representing each galaxy (The Milky Way and Andromeda) that will eventually comprise The Milkdromeda Galaxy. Give us your galaxies colliding to create new constellations and supermassive black hole existential crises *cue Muse*. Give us what you’d put in a time capsule for future humans or an alien race. Give us your cosmic sonder.

Calls begin at 12:01 AM PST on the first of January, April, July, and October of each year, and end on 11:59 PM PST on the last day of each month. New issues are published in March, June, September, and December. Our inaugural issue will be released in March 2023, with our reading period on January 1st, 2023.

We welcome submissions from writers and artists of all ages and backgrounds–from the emerging and unpublished to the established–and especially encourage submissions from those who identify as persons of color, multiracial, indigenous, LGBTQIA+, mentally ill, disabled, neurodivergent, chronically ill, and anyone belonging to a community of underrepresented voices.

We pay a $5 honorarium per piece of writing or art. We ask for first North American publishing rights and archival rights for all accepted work. We also ask for the right to print your work in an anthologizing zine sometime in the future. All rights revert back to the author upon publication. All artists retain full rights and ownership over their art.
